It’s so hard to abstain when I receive a special parcel of glossy photos from Hermes.
Which would you choose?!
I am sure everyone thought when I was 5 years old being sparkle-obsessed was just a phase. Putting crystals in my hair, on my nails, on my school notebook.. on and on! The joke is on them, I still love a good sparkle overload.
Underneath my arm is one of my most beloved Chanels, it is Medium-size and covered in ombre-effect gold crystals. Surprisingly durable!

A year ago, my Chanel representative showed me the previews for the upcoming year in leather goods/RTW/shoes for 2012/2013. Amidst the many exotic pieces that caught my eye was this S/S 12 Chanel Classic Strass Flap. Immediately, I knew the ‘Gold’ color was for me.
Finally! Chanel created a non-mini classic flap completely covered in crystals. In the past, portions of the bag would be exposed, and the sizes produced barely even held an iPhone. Needless to say I was very excited to hear they took the cues and developed a larger, 100% strassed bag. It is currently available in Gold, Silver, Black/Blue, light Pink and light Blue, in mini and medium sizes; some of which are special editions unique to particular boutiques and department stores.
If you are interested, contact your Sales Representative as I am sure the quantities are very limited. I hope you love it as much as I do!
If you haven’t been down to the Fontainebleau on South Beach in Miami, please head there immediately! If not for the fabulous nightclub LIV, (sure to be a memorable night) drop in at least to witness the stunning chandelier installation by artist Ai WeiWei.
Before a $1 billion makeover in 2008, the Fontainebleau was infamously known as the Rat Pack’s hot spot (circa 1950’s and 60’s), although you would never know that now! Super sleek and clean, the entire property exudes sexy luxury. It is still a hot spot; yet instead of catering to the likes of Frank Sinatra, you’ll find Heidi Klum and Jay Z.
This particular installation by Ai WeiWei is very unique in that it is the only *permanent* installation of his work in the United States. 16 feet in diameter, each of the three chandeliers can be yours for a cool $1 million. Would anyone like to guess how many crystals were used in each piece? I can’t even begin to imagine— they are awe inspiring!

You may recall Ai WeiWei as one of the artistic masterminds behind the “Birds Nest” main stadium at the Beijing Olympics.
